Healthy emotional lives for youth.
Rallying communities to champion youth mental health and wellness through normalizing the topic, promoting education, and providing tools for healthy emotional development.
Through PeteFest, The Pete Foundation aims to raise awareness for mental health advocacy while providing a fun, exciting, thought-provoking, and truly inspiring experience for all ages. In addition to spreading the love and appreciation of music, culture, art, and community through local artists and businesses, PeteFest focuses on environmental conservation and outdoor recreation.
For the past 3 years, PeteFest has been the nation’s largest outdoor music festival dedicated to addressing mental health and removing the stigma surrounding mental illness.
The 2020 PeteFest Summer Concert Series
With compassion and a dedication to our purpose, the Pete Foundation is excited to announce a new approach to our annual music and wellness festival. In the midst of the pandemic, the Pete Foundation seeks to keep the mission and culture of PeteFest alive by modifying the event to meet local/state and CDC guidelines.
Our mission is to bring awareness to the issue of mental health and suicide prevention, and that need is still there. The PeteFest team has carefully crafted the outdoor concert series with health and safety as the top priority.
Concert goers can expect a pleasant evening on the PeteFest festival grounds. The theme will remain focused on “stomping the stigma” surrounding mental health through insightful mental wellness information and discussions.
In addition to furthering the mission of the Pete Foundation, we’re excited to use the 2020 PeteFest Outdoor Concert Series as a platform to join the fight for social change and racial equality by showcasing black artists and musicians, partnering with black-owned businesses, amplifying voices from our black community, and donating funds to charities that further this mission.
The Pete Foundation is a local charity that seeks to instill a culture in which dialogue surrounding depression and anxiety is met with understanding and acceptance by providing experiences and promoting education for young people today.
